THE CAST

LUKAS HAAS

Lukas's career was launched in 1984, when, at the age of seven, he landed the titled role of Samuel opposite Harrison Ford in the Peter Weir film, WITNESS. Other work quickly followed. including an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of AIDS victim, Ryan White, in the controversial TV movie, THE RYAN WHITE STORY. He continued with roles opposite Jessica Lang in THE MUSIC BOX for director Costa Gavras, Robert Duvall (who Lukas first starred opposite one year earlier in CONVICTS) and Laura Dern in RAMBLING ROSE and John C. Reilly and Winona Ryder in BOYS.

 

Other work includes among others Woody Allen for EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE YOU, Tim Burton for MARS ATTACKS, Alan Rudolph for THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS, Chris Nolan for INCEPTION, Catherine Hardwicke in RED RIDING HOOD, CONTRABAND, JOBS, which premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, BRICK, which screened in competition at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and THE LAST DAYS directed by Gus Van Sant, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

 

On Stage, in 1988, Lukas performed alongside Steve Martin and Robin Williams in Samuel Beckett’s WAITING FOR GODOT at Lincoln Center in New York City for director Mike Nichols.

BLAKE BERRIS

Blake stars as Dusty Petersen in Meth Head.  He was nominated for an Emmy in 2009 for his work on DAYS OF OUR LIVES where he started as a contract player after attending an acting program at Oxford University and graduating from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television.  Blake quickly lined up strong roles in a series of high profile indies, including MINKOW opposite James Caan and Ving Rhames, the crime drama MAFIOSA, and GIRLFRIEND by director Justin Lerner, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Most recently, Blake starred as Jesse, a lean sexy bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks, in the independent film THE HOUSE OF LAST THINGS. Most recently, he stars in the FilmMcQueen production of CRAZY BITCHES. Guest starring roles on TV  PRETTY SEXY LIARS, SUPERGIRL,  BREAKING BAD, PRIME SUSPECT, and THE BIG BANG THEORY.

NECAR ZADEGAN

Before lighting up the screen in METH HEAD, Necar's other film roles include UNTHINKABLE and the FilmMcQueen production ELENA UNDONE, in which she played the title role. 

 

Necar can currently be seen as a series regular on A GIRL'S GUIDE TO DIVORCE. Other TV roles include a recurring role as Dalia Hassan on the mega-hit Fox TV series, 24 for Season 8 garnering praise as “Breakout star of the season," "Absolutely amazing..." "Necar Zadegan makes the scene here, with her boiling hatred for Suberov contained, but visible..." She followed that role with a recurring on THE EVENT.Other television credits include HARRY'S LAW,  A GIFTED MAN, CSI: MIAMI, THE SHIELD, NIP/TUCK, THE UNIT, NCIS,  HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, LOST, and  series regular roles on RAKE and EMILY OWENS, M.D.

 

Necar originated a role in the Tony Award winning and Pulitzer Prize nominated play THE BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, which she reprised on Broadway, opposite Robin Williams.

WILSON CRUZ

Wilson Cruz first won the hearts with his portrayal of “Rickie Vasquez”, the first openly gay teenager on primetime, on MY SO-CALLED LIFE. His television work continued recently with his recurring role on FOX’s new drama THE FINDER and THE RED BAND SOCIETY. Other memorable roles on television have been on PARTY OF FIVE, THE WEST WING, ER, MONK, and PUSHING DAISIES and GREY’S ANATOMY . Other TV appearances include stints on David E. Kelley’s ALLY MCBEAL, RAISING THE BAR, NOAH’S ARC, RICK AND STEVE - THE HAPPIEST GAY COUPLE IN THE WORLD, and guest starred on THE CLOSER, NCIS, AMERICAN DAD, RELATED and SINGLE LADIES.

 

On stage Cruz took over the role of “Angel” both on Broadway and in the West Coast premiere of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical RENT, winning both The Los Angeles Ovation Award and the Dramalogue Award for Best Actor in a Musical. Wilson followed with the West Coast Premiere, National Tour and Westport Country Playhouse productions of TICK, TICK, BOOM!

 

In addiction to his role in METH HEAD, other films include PARTY MONSTER, COFFEE DATE, JOHNS and ALL OVER ME.Studio film credits include NIXON and HE’S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU.

SCOTT PATTERSON

Scott Patterson is best known to television audiences as Luke Danes from the long running hit series GILMORE GIRLS. He starred in the NBC drama THE EVENT. Scott has an extensive theater and film resume, with several films besides METH HEAD, including THE BOYS OF ABU GHRAIB, LITTLE BIG LEAGUE and THREE WISHES. After pursuing a degree in comparative literature at Rutgers University, Scott went on to study acting in New York with renowned coaches Robert Lewis and Sondra Lee and observed Paul Newman, Arthur Penn and Frank Corsaro at The Actors Studio, where he appeared in numerous productions. The theater company he founded in 1988 in New York City, Arc Light, produced the works of John Bishop, Sam Shepherd, Harold Pinter and Shakespeare.

THEO ROSSI

Theo most recently starred as Juice in SONS OF ANARCHY and will be seen next on the upcoming Netflix show LUKE CAGE,

 

Theo studied acting at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York where he appeared in numerous theatre productions in his short time there.  Since coming to Los Angeles, Theo has starred in a multitude of hit television shows such as LAS VEGAS, THE UNIT, BONES, LOST, and VERONICA MARS. He has recurred on HEIST, AMERICAN DREAMS, GREY’S ANATOMY AND TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. 

 

Aside from his role in METH HEAD, Theo's film credits include CODEBREAKERS, HOUSE OF THE DEAD II: DEAD AIM, JJ Abram's CLOVERFIELD, and the upcoming Chris Carter film FENCEWALKER.

CANDIS CAYNE

Candis can most recently seen in the series regular role on I AM CAIT as well as a recurring on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. She is a versatile actress on both stage and screen. In 2007, she was cast in the ground-breaking series regular role as Carmelita Rainer in ABCs hit primetime show, DIRTY SEXY MONEY. She became the first transgendered actress to play a starring role on a network show, breaking barriers and blazing a path for her community to follow. Other television work includes, DROP DEAD DIVA, CSI: NY and NIP/TUCK.  She can be seen as Viviana, in the FilmMcQueen project, CRAZY BITCHES.
 
Candis's diverse film roles prior to METH HEAD include TO WONG FOO THANKS FOR EVERYTHING JULIE NEWMAR, STONEWALL, and ALWAYS SOMETHING BETTER. 
 
Choreography credits include TOO WONG FOO…  and STONEWALL. She has appeared in numerous multi-media campaigns including television commercials and print ads, while also keeping busy with fashion shows, off-Broadway productions, and her own one-woman cabaret show, which she has performed throughout the country and abroad. In 2010, Candis added co-host to her resume with the GLAAD Media Awards.

TOM SIZEMORE

Tom Sizemore rose in prominence throughout the 1990s, establishing himself as a memorable tough guy character, sought after by the most respected directors in the business. He left his mark on such highly acclaimed films as SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, which was nominated and won a multitude of awards world-wide including  5 Academy Award wins and 11 nominations, a nomination by the SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast;  and a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role by the Satellite Awards; BLACK HAWK DOWN, which won two out of four nominations from Oscar, was nominated for Best Acting Ensemble by the Phoenix Film Critics Society and many others; PEARL HARBOR, which won 1 out of 4 nominations from Oscar, received 2 nominations from Golden Globes and many others; and Oliver Stone's cult favorite NATURAL BORN KILLERS. 
 
Tom has established a critical presence on television as well, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance in a mini-series or tv movie, in WITNESS PROTECTION. His film resume is endless.

LINDSAY PULSIPHER

Lindsay Pulsipher is best known from the hit HBO series TRUE BLOOD as the were-panther Crystal Norris. She earned praise in Spring 2012 for her role as Roseanna McCoy in the History Channel's miniseries HATFIELDS AND MCCOYS, starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton, which has won several significant awards.

 

Prior to her work on Meth Head, Lindsay starred in the art house thriller THE OREGONIAN, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Prior to that, Lindsay was a series regular on the A&E series THE BEAST, which starred the late Patrick Swayze in his critically acclaimed final role.  In addition, Lindsay has guest starred on NCIS, CSI, CHASE and the pilot episode of Jerry Bruckheimer's ELEVENTH HOUR. Most recently, on TV she has worked in a recurring role on LAW AND ORDER: SVU and JUSTIFIED.

 

Having lost her father to cancer, Lindsay has aligned herself with Stand Up to Cancer to help raise awareness and fight the deadly disease.  She is also an avid supporter of Mutt Movement and Humane Society.

JAMES SNYDER

James Snyder is currently appearing on Broadway, originating the role of Josh in IF/THEN. He previously created the title role in the musical "CRYBABY," based on John Waters' film of the same name. Other stage credits include CAROUSEL at the Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut, the Los Angeles productions of ROCK OF AGES (also Las Vegas) and HAPPY DAYS and THE FANTASTICKS at Sacramento Music Theater.

Film credits include METH HEAD, AN AMERICAN IN CHINA, ANDERSON'S CROSS, SHUTTLE, SHE'S THE MAN and PRETTY PERSUASION, which premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. He has also lent his voice to the animated films TUCK EVERLASTING and DARBY O'GILL.

Television credits include BLUE BLOODS, CSI, WITHOUT A TRACE, COLD CASE, GILMORE GIRLS and THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACH AND CODY.

He has released a solo album called "LA Curse." The title song was used in the soundtrack to METH HEAD. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Southern California. He lives with his wife and son in Los Angeles.

VICTORIA PROFETA

Victoria can currently be seen in a lead role in the FilmMcQueen production, CRAZY BITCHES. Prior to her subtle and moving work in METH HEAD Victoria  starred opposite Sean Bean and Chris Hemsworth in the feature film CASH.

She has been previously seen in a supporting role in the independent film PUSH starring Chazz Palminteri and Michael Rappaport. She starred in the FilmMcQueen short films -  the award winning A HOST OF DAFFODILS and CARRIE'S CHOICE. Other films include THE SOUL, LATHER, RINSE, REPEAT, and ONE LAST FLING.

 

Victoria also is an accomplished equestrian rider and competed on the professional circuit. 

JOHN W. MCLAUGHLIN

John’s portrayal of Bobby Blue in the Film McQueen production, METH HEAD, marks his first feature film as both an actor and producer.  A graduate of New York’s American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and a member of their prestigious Academy Company, John first appeared Off-Broadway in the U.S. premiere of Primary Stages production of BAD LANGUAGE, by Dusty Hughes, in the role of Alistair.  Other theatre credits include: Tom in NEVER IN MY LIFETIME, Steve in SAY GOODNIGHT GRACIE, Medvedenko in Chekov’s, THE SEAGULL and originating the role of Damien/Dorothy in the THE GOLDEN GAYS. John has also appeared in the short films THE TOUCH and MOM, and was a series regular in the highly-acclaimed web series, WE HAVE TO STOP NOW.

 

John most recently pulled double duty as a producer, and a supporting role in Jane Clark's CRAZY BITCHES.

EDITH FIELDS

A veteran of stage, screen and television, Edith has been the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award, seven Dramalogue Awards and a Garland Award for various L.A. theater productions. Among her favorite roles are Linda in DEATH OF A SALESMAN, Rose in NUTS and Beth/Consuelo in comedy LIKE ONE OF THE FAMILY. Off Broadway, Edith has appeared in JOE AND BETTY, RITES OF PASSAGE, and THE POSEUR.

 

Recent films are FilmMcQueen productions of METH HEAD and ELENA UNDONE, as well as NEXT and OBLIVION, NEBRASKA. Her extensive film credits include THE AMATI GIRLS with Cloris Leachman and Mercedes Ruehl, MR. SATURDAY NIGHT with Billy Crystal, DAD with Jack Lemmon and NO WAY OUT with Kevin Costner. For her work in MY BROTHER JACK, Edith was nominated for the breakout actor award at the Method Film Festival in Pasadena. She has been seen in numerous TV movies including HBO’s NORMA JEAN AND MARILYN and appeared in Emmy winning and popular hit shows like MODERN FAMILY and HART OF DIXIE.

BARBARA NIVEN

Barbara Niven is one of Hollywood’s busiest actresses, and served three years on the National Board of Directors for the Screen Actors Guild. She has more than 100 television and film roles to her credit, appearing multiple times on Lifetime and Hallmark. Other television roles include shows like NCIS, COLD CASE and ONE LIFE TO LIVE, as well as Marilyn Monroe in THE RAT PACK. On film she recently starred in A PERFECT ENDING opposite Jessica Clark. On TV she can currently be seen on CEDAR COVE. She’s been in over 2,500 radio & TV commercials and infomercials. She’s also a Media Trainer, Speaker and Best-Selling Author. 

 

When she’s not acting, her passion is to help other people live their dreams and achieve their potential. She speaks on several topics, including ACT AS IF and EATING DISORDERS & PRESSURES TO BE PERFECT, and has appeared on national television shows talking about the pressure to be thin in Hollywood.
